Parents school bullies will face a fine or imprisonment

Parents of children who were seen bullying other minors, can face a real prison sentences under the new law, adopted in North Tonawanda, a town located North of Buffalo (new York).

The city authorities hope that the law will stop bullying, if the parents are responsible for the actions of their children. Variants of punishment may be two: the imposition of a fine or imprisonment. The fine is $ 250, a term of imprisonment of 15 days. Punishment can be assigned to a parent whose child within 90 days 2 or more times were observed to be in violation of laws of the city, including bullying other children.

Officials North Tonawanda say the law is aimed at juveniles who repeatedly taunted other children in public places.
