Homeowners in the Tri-state that went through standing in long queues to pay property taxes for the year 2018 in this year, before enter into force of the tax reform Donald trump.

The people of new York, new Jersey, Connecticut and other States with high taxes tend to save, because the new tax code imposes restrictions on deductions for state and local taxes. Changes can cost homeowners in the «blue States» thousands of dollars.

Here’s how it is with the ability to pay property taxes in 2018 now.

New Jersey:

It depends on the municipality. Some cities allow you to make an advance payment for two quarters, some don’t. For example, Jersey city is changing its rules to allow residents to pay for all four quarters this year.

Connecticut:

State law requires property taxes to 1 April 2018 can be paid until 31 December 2017.

New York

Recently, the state Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an order that allows residents of the state to pay part of property taxes in 2018 in advance.
