More than 190 lawmakers, Democrats have United to file a lawsuit in district court against the President of Donald trump.
They accuse trump in violation of the Constitution, which bans the President from receiving funding of foreign governments without the consent of Congress.
According to the Associated Press, the number of prosecutors are 30 senators and 166 members of the house of representatives. The claim they are going to submit today, June 14.
The lawsuit alleges that since taking office, trump has not requested congressional approval to receive foreign funding for their business.
«Thanks to this provision of the Constitution the founders of our country laid the Foundation for the prevention of corruption and foreign influence on the United States,» reads the lawsuit.
In turn, White house spokesman Sean Spicer said that the business interests of the President do not violate the provisions of the Constitution.
Although all the plaintiffs — Democrats, they intend to ask their Republican colleagues to support the lawsuit.
