Rapper 6ix9ine (Tekashi69) pleaded not guilty to racketeering and possession of a weapon

Yesterday, 26 October, 22-year-old rap artist Daniel Hernandez of Brooklyn, known as Tekashi69 and 6ix9ine, pleaded not guilty on 6 counts.

Hernandez, his former Manager, Kitano Jordan and 2 friends Gensel Butler and faheem Walter was arrested in early November. They were charged with racketeering and armed attacks. All except Walter, who was not in the courtroom, pleaded not guilty.

The court decided not to release Hernandez, who is facing a life sentence, on bail, finding that the defendant poses a threat to society. According to the Prosecutor, Jeffrey S. Berman, Tekashi69 participated in numerous armed attacks in the composition of the new York gang Nine Trey Bloods.
