Imagine what it’s like to spend thousands of dollars on a wedding and then to find out that all the money is lost forever — and the dream wedding you also do not Shine.
Kathy Rabassa and her fiance Ollie Mass met while studying in College, after graduation, began Dating — and last year, Ollie has made a proposal to the girl. Lovers of Virginia immediately began to plan the important day and almost immediately picked a place for the ceremony.
«During the study we visited Nesselrod Bed & Breakfast at the beer festival and had a great time, so when we discussed the wedding venue — he immediately came to mind,» says Cathy.
The couple went to a hotel in January, book it on September 19, 2020. This November, they were going to go to Nesselrod second time to show all parents — however, the wedding planner suddenly announced that the visit will have to wait. Allegedly, the building had a pipe burst and the building is closed to all visitors.
But the couple was just going to town on other business and decided still look — not knowing that they are waiting for a very unpleasant surprise.
On arrival it turned out that none of the phones Nesselrod is not working, and the Manager, heavily indebted to the authorities for lease of premises, somewhere disappeared. The pair is still trying to track down the owners to return their money — more than $6 million — but beginning to lose hope.
«Now we have no venue, no money that we gave to the organizers. explains Rabassa — Nesselrod was too expensive for us: parents paid for it as a wedding gift.»
Now Katie with the groom looking for a new place for the wedding, though I doubt that all will be able to pay for it. At the same time, they are not the only victims of managers Nesselrod. At least one bride gave the Manager the security Deposit before it disappeared.
«Every girl dreams of the perfect wedding day, and it was taken from me. says Rabassa, referring to fraudsters — <…> I would not want to through this passed someone else. Stop. You poison the most important day in the lives of others. That’s horrible.»
