In Kentucky want to allow students to sue the school because of bathroom usage for transgender

A member of the house of representatives of Kentucky, reviving a bill banning transgender people to use bathrooms with students of the opposite sex.

Member of the Republican party David Hale last Thursday, December 12, resumed the activity of the privacy Act students in Kentucky. Under the bill, rest rooms and changing rooms should be separated «depending on biological sex».

«School staff are obliged to protect the dignity, health, well-being and the right to privacy of students under their guardianship, — stated in the bill — children and young people have natural and normal concerns about privacy while in various States of undress, and most wish to the representatives of the opposite biological sex was not present during such circumstances.»

The document further stated that providing students with «different biological sex» of the ability to use the same toilets and changing rooms can lead to «potential embarrassment, shame and psychological trauma». And if the student sees a transgender person in such place, he may file against the school claim.

The proposed law also stipulates that transgender students whose parents have given written consent, will be «given the best available facilities». These facilities may include toilets, bathrooms that are not gender sensitive.

Chris Harman, Executive Director of the Fairness Campaign, the Kentucky-based advocacy organization LGBTQ person at work, called the bill «dangerous, disgusting and murderous».

According to the Director of the Kentucky Youth Law Project Keith Elston, such a decision may cause a «deterioration in the health of TRANS-youth.» Elston said that when transgender people are denied the right to use the services that correspond to their gender identity, they not only face higher risks of sexual violence, but also with a higher risk of suicidal thoughts.
