Masala Harper almost died on the way home from a party for the expectant mother. She was hit by a car that fled the scene. The woman’s baby, who was about to be born, died.

30 minutes after the party for the expectant mother in Jones County, Mississippi Maurice answered the phone mom Mashaly, Chandra Harper. She moved at a distance of 6-7 cars from the 24-year-old daughter when on the road suddenly there was a traffic jam. She asked someone about what happened, and the driver told her that an accident had just hit a woman in the position.
Maurice said that Chandra knew immediately that it was her daughter. She found it on the ground in front of the car. Maurice said that they don’t know how it got there, but after the incident, the door on the driver side is gone.
The driver who ran over a woman, working as a math teacher, fled the scene of the accident, but was arrested by Saturday night. James Gilbert (35) charged in connection with the accident.
Harper was taken to the hospital South Central Regional Medical Center. Her dad said that the doctors informed the family about the child’s death 45 minutes later. Doctors said the girl has serious injuries, including trauma to the abdomen, knee and leg. Her dad admitted that the doctors did not expect her to survive surgery, and at least once she had to return to life. He described his daughter as «a strong woman».
Dad girl told that her daughter was always asking mom about the baby, but she didn’t know how to tell her the truth, fearing that she will raise the pressure. Finally, she told the truth on Monday night.
Pruitt added that his daughter is recovering quickly. «The better Mashile, the better for all of us. Yesterday I managed to make her smile,» said dad girls.
