Volunteer Church in new Jersey stole thousands of dollars of Church funds and spent it on their wedding and hundreds of online shopping.

43-year-old Taisha Smith-De Joseph is accused of embezzling more than $561 000 St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Florence.

Investigators discovered that Smith De Joseph opened several Bank accounts for the Church. She then created fake monthly statements to hide the true means of the Church, and then transferred money to other accounts to use them for personal purposes.

Overall, she embezzled $561 777.
