The candidate for a judge changed his name to «Judge» to win the election

In this Tuesday, March 3, Judge Mike Cummins participated in the democratic primaries of the County of Los Angeles, fighting for a place in the Supreme court. Perhaps he would even manage to win — be «judge» of his profession, and not the official name.

Yes, you heard right. More recently, the Cummings name is literally the Judge Mike. The man really held the judgeship until 2006, could not specify this on the ballot because of the resignation and years of lack of practice — so I decided to inform voters about his relatively low experience at the post, changed his name.

This guy isn’t actually a judge, he just changed his first name to “Judge” so he would look like one on the ballot. The Scam Judge pic.twitter.com/sTzqsDbGXZ

Alas, it tricks few people are impressed. The Los Angeles Times noted that in an attempt «to deceive the court system and voters» Cummins ought to disqualify, and in the viral tweet of the candidate and is aptly called «judge a crook».

Obviously, the prefix «judge» is not impressed and voters. Opponent Cummins — Emily Cole — he won with an impressive margin, with over 706 thousand votes (83%), while Mike got only 142k

Hopefully, the Judge will not change name every time you decide somewhere to run.
