The judge from Florida violated the ethical rules, making the court a reality show

The judge from Florida broke the rules of ethical conduct of the judges, turned the courtroom into a reality show, using in the purposes of the real victims of cases of domestic violence.

Judge Carroll Kelly on Wednesday was charged with abuse of their position by inviting a television crew to shoot a show called Protection Court — according to the Miami Herald.

The judicial Commission has accused Kelly of violating 6 of the rules of ethical conduct of judges of the state during its participation in daytime television show.

The show, which was broadcast on several local channels, were watching the unfolding events in cases of domestic violence, including those which were necessary court orders prohibiting the accused from approaching the victim.

The Commission stated that Kelly was a judge, in considering which people filmed on camera although they did not give their consent and did not sign the relevant documents. In other cases, the members of the Commission said that Kelly and her producers have given people a «minimum notice» that they will ask permission to shoot.

The conclusions were made despite the fact that in September 2018 Kelly received the decision of the Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee, which says that shooting the show was not an ethical issue and must be resolved by the judiciary.
«We can only say that none of the canons of the Code of judicial ethics Florida right does not apply to this case,» — said at the time of the Committee, according to the documents.

Lawyer Kelly David Rothman refused to provide a comment on the new charges, writes the news the Miami Herald.

At Carroll, Kelly has 20 days to file a formal answer to the charges of the Commission. Then the Florida Supreme court will decide on any possible punishment, if it is decided that in this case it is necessary.
