Wedding photographer Andrea Polito from North Texas has won a lawsuit against the newlyweds, for which a staged wedding photo shoot in 2015. After the wedding the couple was billed for the services of a photographer. In social networks the couple began to resent the fact that the photographer almost «robbed» them, demanding to pay an additional $ 125 for the cover design of the album – costs which, in the opinion of the spouses, should be included in the cost of wedding photo album as a whole, because the cover and the album — are inseparable. In the photo Studio a couple said that the album will not be given, until they pay the cover.
Polito said that in the order form «clearly indicated that the cost of the cover was not included in the price of the album and is an additional fee.» Polito also said, commenting on the situation in social networks, the couple threatened her business. Moreover, the photographer claimed that this is what they wanted, because among other things, the social networks were present the review from angry couples, in which it was said that after this scandal business Polito «just came to an end.»
In my defense, the couple claimed that most of the comments left in social networks, was not made by them and published with the fake profiles.
«None of us ever hoped her business is ruined, and we don’t want it,» said the young husband , Andrew Moldovan, in an interview with NBC in 2015. «We came to NBC just to get our pictures and album. Nothing more.»
This Friday the district court of Dallas made the final decision on the dispute, which lasted about two years. The judge came to the conclusion that posts and comments in social networks, libel and the newlyweds were made out of anger. They hurt the reputation of the photographer, which, in turn, acted solely in the framework of the Treaty. The result – a young family is obliged to pay Andrea Polito 1.08 million dollars of compensation for moral damage. Very sad news for those who have just started to build large family plans.
