Page Six reports that Meryl Streep has applied to the US Patent office to change your name in trade mark thereby securing the exclusive right to use «live TV appearances and film projects a professional actress». The application also applies to public appearances, autograph sessions, and web sites related to the movies.
In a statement, the actress said that her name is associated with the entertainment industry since 1975 when she worked on the voice of the film «everybody loves the carousel.»
The registration fee for the electronic filing of applications is from 225 to 400 dollars.
News about the transformation of the name Meryl Streep in the brand appeared shortly after the channel HBO announced that the actress is going to join the caste series «Big little lies» the expected audience of the second season.
