Not so little mermaid: marine found an original way to cheer up troops at bases abroad

Marine Bo shepherd tried blue-gold tail and a camouflage hat during a very unusual photo shoot, where he appears as a mermaid with biceps and tattoos.

«Marines can move both on water and on land, so I wanted to incorporate that into the photo shoot,» he told WDRB shepherd. «I wanted to create playful images for the other Marines so they laughed at their absurdity.»

Shepherd contacted the photographer is Jacqueline Elliot. She shared the photos on his page in Facebook. Pretty quickly, the post became viral, but the photo was asked to remove. Jacqueline then shared the link to image on your own website. She wrote: «I’m so glad I can make people laugh and smile! Life is so short… spend time humor! I love my job that allows me to bring people together through photography!»

Shepherd says that the photos also laughed at his child and wife Alicia. «My daughter decided that it was funny, and now she will always be my picture as a mermaid,» added the man.

She told WDRB, «I think it’s a great way to show that is wonderful to have troops and they have a marvelous sense of humor. Humor helps people through difficult times, and if it doesn’t make you smile, I don’t know what will cause».
