A young mother was terribly scared when I looked at the monitor monitors and thought I saw a Ghost of a baby lying next to her son, but later discovered that it was an optical illusion caused by the fact that her husband forgot to put on the mattress pad.
Halloween hasn’t officially arrived, but at this time of year things do seem a little creepy. Shadows are longer, the wind blows stronger, and sometimes – just sometimes – you see the Ghost of the baby sleeping next to your baby in his crib.
But this is not a new Hollywood horror movie, and what really happened to young mom and dad by Maritza and Arvid of Kabul.
When Maritza as usual looked at the monitor, baby monitors, she saw what seemed to her the Ghost of a child, lying close to her young son. However, when the parents went to check on the baby, they realized that there was no mattress cover, and what they saw actually was a photograph of the face of the child on the crib.
Phew, what a relief.
Deciding to laugh about the incident, Maritza shared the story on Facebook and wrote: «Last night I was sure in bed with my son is a Ghost. I was so scared that could not sleep at night. I even tried to sneak into the nursery with a flashlight while my son slept. So, this morning, I conducted a detailed investigation. It turned out that my husband just forgot to put on the mattress when you change your underwear. Could kill him.»

Commenting on the post and the ensuing reaction, Maritza told LADbible: «This is sheer madness. It all started when I decided that I saw a «Ghost baby» and posted a photo in the group of mothers, asking if they see what I do. As soon as we realized what it really was, we all laughed and one of the women asked me if I wanted to make a post to share. Neither my husband nor I thought that the post would become so popular! We are a bit concerned that some people are not very nice (call me a bad mother, say that I have used photoshop and so on), but we try not to pay attention. This story is not intended for such a thorough analysis. It’s just a little scary story with a funny end. We do not consider that the son in danger (and for the record, I periodically visited him at night). We just wanted to get people a little laugh».
