Monday, January 26, Jelani Maraj, brother by rapper Nicki Minaj, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the repeated rape of his stepdaughter.
«The judge is condemned Jelani Maradja predatory sexual violence and ill-treatment of children in November 2017. The victim testified that Maraj repeatedly raped her in 2015, when her mother was at work,» the Associated Press reports.
The accused tried to appeal the verdict, but the judge rejected it. According to prosecutors, on the bottom of the pajamas the girls have been found traces of DNA Maraca.
The child claimed that the first attack occurred in April, 2015, in the bedroom Maraca.
«He told me to take my pants off… He told me to go with him under the blanket, and he began to caress my back,’ said the girl. — He took off his boxers… then we had sex.»
According to the girls, it was up to four times a week and sometimes twice a day — her younger brother also claimed that he witnessed one of the attacks. The victim admitted that she asked the brother not to tell their mother.

Maraj asked for a second chance in court, saying he suffers from problems with alcohol. And his lawyer tried to persuade the court to a minimum of 10 years, arguing that his client also has hypertension, gout and anemia.
