Trump has demonstrated peace and harmony with the Republicans

The President of the United States Donald trump and Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell demonstrated the unity and solidarity in matters of tax reform.

During the 40-minute press conference in the White house was not a shadow of previous controversy and strained relations due to the lack of consensus on the new system, health care and repeal ObamaCare. On a question of journalists trump said, «the Relationship between us is very good. We are fighting for the same thing — we fight for lower taxes, large tax cuts, biggest tax cut in the history of our nation.» Trump also noted that friends with most of the Republicans, although their relationship may sometimes look like they «are on different Islands.»

«We McConnell closer to each other than ever before,» said trump.

The President and McConnell stressed that they have long been friends and often talked on various issues.

«I believe that we have a very good chance to deal with taxes much before the end of the year» — said trump.

«We are facing a common goal and a common goal,» concluded McConnell told reporters. «The goal is to implement tax reform before the end of the year.»

Despite this solidarity now, a few weeks ago, the President very sharply expressed in the address of the McConnell.

«Can you believe that Mitch McConnell, who for 7 years was screaming Repeal & Replace, I could not achieve this? We must repeal and replace ObamaCare!», — trump wrote on Twitter.

Special attention during the press conference, the President was paid to the memory of soldiers killed in Niger. He stated that he has already sent letters of condolence to their families and intends shortly to communicate with them personally on the phone.

Not spared the President the attention and the investigation of Russia’s intervention in the US presidential election in 2016, calling it again an attempt by Democrats to justify their defeat in the elections.

Trump also announced a new law on economic development, which will be submitted to Congress in the near future.

In turn, McConnell said that soon the Senate will vote on a bill prohibiting abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy (except in cases of rape and medical evidence). According to the head of the Senate majority, all the Republicans have already decided on the opinion and unanimously ready to vote. However, they may simply not have enough of their own votes. A simple calculation shows that by 52 votes Republicans will need at least 8 votes from Democrats in order that the bill was passed.
