The delegate who offered to send lethal weapons to Ukraine, said that, according to the assistant to trump George. D. Gordon at the Republican Convention in 2016, the then Republican presidential candidate urged him to support the weakening of this position. In the end was adopted a softer amendment.

According to NPR, Denman supposed to meet this week with members of the intelligence committees of the house of representatives and the Senate to discuss this issue.

It is worth noting that trump’s assistant for national security, who allegedly voiced the words of the candidate, denies said Denman.

«Trump did not affect the details of the GOP platform. It was my job, – said Gordon. – The individual delegates had no authority to push their positions in the campaign.»

Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller and his aides also interested Denman. They are also trying to figure out could change the platform to be evidence of ties between Russia and the campaign of trump.

Recall, the Obama administration also promised to support Pro-Western forces in Ukraine and supplied them with vehicles and other military equipment, but not weapons.
