The U.S. sent 60 Russian diplomats and close the Consulate in Seattle

The administration of President Donald trump sends out of the country 60 Russian diplomats and closes Consulate in Seattle.

This step is a response to Moscow for her alleged involvement in the poisoning in Britain of former officer of the Russian military intelligence service , Sergei Skripal.

According to the officials, these 60 people were «spies working in the United States under diplomatic cover,» and thus the White house makes it clear about the «unacceptable number of Russian intelligence operatives in America.» Consulate in Seattle is closed because of its proximity to the US naval base.

Diplomats will have 7 days to leave the United States, the Associated Press reports.

According to the press Secretary of the White house Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the decision «will reduce Russia’s ability to spy on Americans and conduct operations that threaten U.S. national security».
