North Korea hopes for the second summit trump-Kim

North Korea believes that there is a «high probability» the second summit between the country’s leader Kim Jong-UN and U.S. President Donald trump, according to CNN, citing officials familiar with the position of Pyongyang on this issue.

The insider pointed to the correspondence of trump and Kim, noting that it is a positive sign. Although the date and venue yet to be determined, it will happen «later this year», said an anonymous source.

Over the weekend, the foreign Minister of the DPRK ri Yong Ho described as «alarming» actions of the United States, referring to the adoption of economic sanctions against North Korea and the absence of a peace agreement. But the insider believes that the North Korean statements are part of the tactic, whose goal is «to exert pressure» on the management of trump. North Korea hopes that trump and Kim will negotiate more favourable to Pyongyang the context of denuclearization, the official added.

Like Donald trump, Secretary of state Mike Pompeo believes that the DPRK should be given more time to implement the terms of the agreement signed at the summit of the tramp-Kim. However, many oppose the continuation of negotiations.

Recently publishing Reuters published the secret UN report, which said that North Korea, ignoring international sanctions, continues to develop nuclear and missile programs.

Besides, after the meeting of the two leaders on 12 June, which both responded positively, Pompeo went to Pyongyang for details on the elimination of nuclear weapons in the DPRK. But after the Secretary of state praised the progress in relations between the US and the DPRK, foreign Ministry spokesman Korea called the results of the negotiations «deeply regrettable.»

Note that North Korea still has fulfilled the terms of the agreement between trump and Kim. For example, Pyongyang handed over the remains of unidentified American soldiers killed in the Korean war 1950-53.
