U.S. expands sanctions against the Kremlin for poisoning Skrobala

In the U.S. Department of State (U.S. Department of State) stated that in the near future will be introduced additional sanctions against the Russian Federation. The reason for this decision was the poisoning of Sergey and Yulia Skrobala. According to the American authorities for this crime is the leadership of the Russian Federation. Roughly the sanctions will take effect August 22.

At the moment there is no exact information what measures will be taken against Russia. However, according to the US law on the control of chemical and biological weapons, adopted in 1991, the restrictions will be implemented in 2 stages. The first should be the export and financing of the offending country. In particular, we are talking about a ban on selling weapons and delivery technologyrelated to national security. Experts point out: given that similar restrictions already in place against Russia, this measure is unlikely to greatly affect the current situation.

Much more painful might be the 2nd phase of sanctions. It will come into effect if, within 3 months from the date of arraignment, the Russian Federation does not recognize his guilt and will not agree to the use of biological weapons. In addition, the state must pass inspection from the relevant UN structures. If the conditions are not met, will be followed by more stringent measures, including the reduction of the diplomatic mission, the suspension of air linksand almost full termination of import and export.

Experts doubt that the U.S. will take such a radical step. However, part of the sanctions, of course, must touch on the painful areas of the Russian economy. This calculates the leadership of the United States of America.

Earlier, we wrote that a group of senators plans to introduce a billthat proposes to ban state-owned banks of the Russian Federation to conduct settlements in dollars. This restriction is capable of causing tremendous damage to the economy of this state.
