Magazine Time has announced the new heroes in the nomination «person of the year». They were the «gatekeepers» — journalists from around the world who died or suffered due to their professional activities.
On the black and white album covers:
- killed at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Jamal Khashoggi;
- reporters Capital Gazette of Annapolis (MD), shot in June.
- arrested Filipino journalist Maria Ressa;
- VA LON and Chia With OO from Reuters investigating military operations of the government of Myanmar against the Muslim ethnic Rohingya (September journalists sentenced to 7 years in prison).

«Being a journalist is hard work, but there’s no better time to be because we fight for our values and fulfill our mission,» said CNN’s Maria Ressa.
Not made the cover, but appeared in a promotional video correspondent, host and Deputy chief editor of «echo of Moscow» Tatiana Felgengauer, the editors of «Novaya Gazeta» Arkady Babchenko, whose murder is staged in the spring of the Ukrainian secret services to catch customers.
He Babchenko on his page on Facebook has commented on the choice of journal.

Speaking of trump. He, as was said above, took second place in «Man of the year» by Time. «Bronze» — spectacular Robert Mueller, who is investigating possible contacts of trump with Russia before the presidential elections in 2016.
