Assistants Ocasio-Cortez told reporters today Time, undergo special training under the guidance of the officers of the Capitol police. They are taught to check out the visitors who came to the meeting with the Congresswoman. Policies which have a huge number of supporters and admirers, made, apparently, and enemies. Having strong position of progressives on issues of social inequality, global warming and immigration, it causes resentment among many — not only the followers of trump or Republicans but also some Democrats.

The message of heightened security around Ocasio-Cortez is contained in an extensive story about it in Time, released today. «I wouldn’t go anywhere in public and just be human without the many people who follow everything I do,» says the Congresswoman. She was famous, her 3.5 million Twitter followers. Thousands of people watch as she makes a soup of black beans, or transplant potted plants in Instagram Live. Right after she tweeted the name of her signature red lipstick — Beso from Stila — it was immediately sold out online.

She says she’s not busy with the elections and the movement, need to win more than place and interest, and the hearts of the people. Young Congresswoman says that her disputes with the same party-Democrats do not arise due to position on warming or Medicare, but because of the differences in attitudes between generations. «Always talking about the division within the Democratic party, ideological differences… But I actually think that the differences between the generations. Because the America in which we grew up, nothing like the America in which I grew up, our parents or our grandparents».

Colleagues in the democratic party fear that Ocasio-Cortez repels moderate voters and middle-aged people — and all this on the eve of crucial elections in 2020. Now, according to a Gallup poll conducted in February, 31% of Americans overall have a favorable impression of her, and 41% unfavorable.
