Several reputable sources reported that Washington soon recognized the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. This should be the first precedent in U.S. history, when us authorities determine the part of the armed forces of another state, as a group, bearing the terrorist threat.

As soon as the rumors of impending change became known to the Iranian leadership, local state news Agency IRNA reported that the Parliament of this country will immediately respond to the actions of the United States.
«We will respond to any action against this formation. The ruling elite of America itself produces and supports terrorists in the middle East, and they’ll regret these inappropriate actions», — reads the statement of the parliamentarians.
Political experts note that in the case of recognition of the IRGC as a terrorist organization, the situation in the middle East will significantly worsen. Israel demands that the Islamic revolutionary guard Corps has been identified as a threat to the world community. If Washington would take such a step, it will involve the US army in direct confrontation with the armed forces of Iran.
The IRGC is an elite military-political formation, which today is officially a part of the armed forces of Iran. The unit took an active part in the Iran-Iraq war, and also contributed to the creation of the terrorist organization «Hezbollah». The IRGC is the most influential power structure in Iran, and in addition to the law enforcement sector regulates many economic and political aspects of public administration.
