Republicans and Israel’s Ambassador to the UN has criticized recent comments, Congresswoman from Michigan rasida Tlaibin which she spoke about the Holocaust, the history of the state of Israel and the Palestinians.
In the podcast Yahoo News Skullduggery Tlaib, an ethnic Palestinian, asked about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
«I feel calm when I think about the tragedy of the Holocaust and what my ancestors, the Palestinians lost their land, their lives, livelihood in the name of creating a safe haven for Jews after their terrible persecution around the world. The fact that my ancestors have ensured the existence of Israel, makes me wonder about the possibility of creating a single Palestinian-Israeli state. Why can’t we make it better?» said Congresswoman.
«I want a safe haven for Jews. Who doesn’t want to be safe? What my ancestors suffered to make it happen, but I never advocated extremist approach.»
Dani Denon, Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, accused Rashid Tlaib in an attempt to «rewrite history».

Several high-ranking Republicans also criticized the statements of the Congresswoman from Michigan.
So, Liz Cheney of Wyoming, a member of the leadership of the Republican party in the House of representatives called on speaker Nancy Pelosi to «take action» against Tlaib.
«This vile anti-Semitism. Rashid Tlaib says that thinking about the Holocaust give her the «sense of calm»,» said Cheney.
She Tlaib, in turn, has accused critics of «attempting to silence her and distorting her words.»
