Bill De Blasio has announced the nomination for President on Thursday morning, may 16, and will soon go to Iowa, the first stop in his «candidate tour». After Iowa, this weekend, the mayor of the Big Apple will visit South Carolina.
Earlier, the Democratic party announced his nomination of almost two dozen candidates.
A poll by Quinnipiac University, held on 3 April this year, showed that 76% of voters in new York oppose the idea of the election of De Blasio to the White house.
Even among his most loyal demographic — African-American voters and voters in the Bronx 7 out of every 10 respondents were against the idea of nominating him for President.
Bill De Blasio is the 109th mayor of new York city, he entered office in 2014. In addition to De Blasio, from; Tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) previously announced candidates, Senator from new York Kirsten Gillibrand and Senator from new Jersey Cory Booker.
