Iran attacked 2 us military bases in Iraq to «take revenge» for the death of Soleimani

Iran attacked two Iraqi military bases that stationed US troops. It is assumed that the attack — retaliation for the killing of Iranian General last week, said the Pentagon on Tuesday.

Jonathan Hoffman, a Pentagon spokesman, said Tuesday evening that Iran is released from its territory more than a dozen ballistic missiles at the air base al-Asad, where American military, as well as on US forces and the coalition in Erbil (Iraqi Kurdistan).

The Islamic revolutionary guard corps (an elite wing of the Iranian military, also known as the IRGC) declared that these attacks were «hard revenge» for the death of Soleimani. The IRGC statement said that any country that will become a springboard for «hostile and aggressive actions» against Iran can be attacked, and also calls for US citizens to demand from the government the withdrawal of us troops from the region.

«The great Satan … we warn you that if you take any more action or take a new act of aggression, we will respond even more painful and devastating,» — said in their statement addressed to the United States.

The President of Iran, like many high-ranking officials of this country, previously confirmed that he intends to avenge the death of Soleimani.
