Andrew Cuomo will be questioned in the case of sexual harassment on Saturday

It is expected that on Saturday, Governor Andrew Cuomo will be questioned by investigators from the state attorney General’s office, who are looking into allegations of sexual harassment — against the background of the investigation nearing completion.

The tentative date for the Albany interview was confirmed Thursday by two people familiar with the case who spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Cuomo has been accused by several women of making inappropriate and offensive remarks. He himself apologized and said that he «learned an important lesson» from his behavior, refusing calls to resign from his post.

A spokesman for the governor said on Thursday that he would not make any comments before the interrogation.

Former assistant Lindsay Boylan accuses Cuomo of harassing her throughout her work and once offered to play strip poker on board his plane. Another former aide, Charlotte Bennett, said Cuomo once asked her if she had ever had sex with older men.

The investigation into the allegations is overseen by Attorney General Letitia James, also a Democrat, who chose an outside law firm to conduct the investigation and document its results in a public report.
