A gleaming new skyscraper with green terraces with a height of 65 floors, designed for BIG Hudson Yards, is one step closer to implementation. The developer Tishman Speyer has bought the rights to the airspace needed for each of the skyscraper in new York.
Deal mind-boggling for an ordinary layman the amount of 157 million dollars was concluded between a developer, a Corporation Hudson Yards Infrastructure Corporation and the transport Department of the MTA. Tishman Speyer owns the rights to 669 000 square feet, after the company paid for every square foot of $235. First the developer has already made two such purchases in 2015 and 2016, spending $ 265 million to get more than 1.23 million additional square feet of construction with a height of 1,005 feet.

The design of the new skyscraper was presented to the public last February. The building has a «classic silhouette of the ziggurat» (as you know, a ziggurat is a rectangular stepped temple, which was built by Sumerians to honor the gods), and its distinguishing feature is avivausa glass facade a spiral of living green plants.
