Marci Webber, a resident of Bloomingdale’s, the state of Illinois, will soon appear before court which will determine whether she is cured and can be released.
In 2010 Marcy slit the throat of his 4-year-old daughter Maggie, believing that the girl I want to kidnap members of a satanic cult.
«Angels lead us to heaven»
In his fevered brain then 43-year-old Marcy thought her daughter – in mortal danger. She said that it seemed to her that the members of a secret satanic society to pursue her daughter. In 2012, Webber was recognized as insane and sent for compulsory treatment in a psychiatric clinic for a period up to 100 years – that was the verdict. Five years later, doctors believe that the woman is in stable condition. Marcy hopes to convince the judge of DuPage County, that she was no longer a danger for others or for yourself. Prosecutors opposed the petition of Marcy.
As Tribune itself said 50-year-old Marci Webber, she believes that no longer is mentally ill. «I take full responsibility for their actions, but their reason was temporary psychosis due to the fact that I’m a long time used, and then made a break from taking a variety of antidepressants and antipsychotics,» said the woman. According to reports of physicians, which Marcy gave to journalists, she comes into full remission recovery.
«I thought I was saving her»
During a recent interview in the Chicago center for mental health, a woman said she no longer required hospitalization, and that she hopes to live near his elderly father in Arizona who needs care and concern.
About Maggie’s mother says, crying, but she still remembers. The girl was the youngest of three daughters, Marcy. She loved to swim, play with dolls and loved to tell mom how much loves her.
«All react the same way: as a mother can do something like this? I can understand them. I also could not imagine that sort of power. But anyone who had a psychosis knows: you just don’t have the opportunity to make a choice,» says Marcy. «I didn’t understand what hurt her, kill her. I thought I was saving my Maggie.»
But troubles there were no signs. At the time Marcy Webber served two years in the army, then graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago. Later, after the birth of your first child, the woman moved to the North of the state of new York, where he studied in law school in Albany, working in parallel and engaging in various volunteer projects.
According to her, the reasons for dependence on antidepressants had a few, and these reasons were tied in a tight knot: two failed marriages, the courts on child custody, financial problems…

And in may 2010 Marcy ceased to take medication, forgetting them during the long trip to his mother in the suburbs of Chicago. As noted during the trial, the expert, the mental state of women gradually deteriorated, and eventually she lost touch with reality, but my head began to appear paranoid thoughts.
Announcing the verdict, judge George Bakalis noted that Marcy loved his daughter, but «love combined with paranoia can be destructive and even deadly force.»
«Your sister is sleeping»
According to recent statistics, Marcy – one of the 364 patients in Illinois who was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Almost a third of the people released for, on average, nine years.

Marci Webber considers unfair the conviction of some people that these patients avoid responsibility. A woman says she is serving a life sentence of pain and regret.
«I lost everything. I lost Maggie, and I have to live with what did. In addition, I have destroyed life and other daughters who were so friendly».
The older daughter Marcy, who is now 24 years, on that fateful day found in the house dead sister and a wounded mother.
«In the bathroom blood!», — cried the girl in a record that survived 911. «I think my sister’s dead. Please hurry!».
The girl recalled that at this moment her mother opened her eyes and said, «Shut up. Your sister’s asleep.»
Officers who arrived on call, found nearly decapitated Maggie in the bathroom. On the walls were bloody inscriptions about God and Satan.
«I had thoughts and hallucinations about Satanists that haunt us, hiding behind bushes and cars, but I never thought that I can cause someone pain,» says Marcy now. «That morning, it all happened in a second – a fierce frenzy and biggest fear. At that moment it was all over».
