Leading anti-doping Agency asking for the suspension of Russia from participation in the winter Olympics in 2018, which will be held in Pyeongchang (South Korea). As The Guardian reports, in a letter addressed to the international Olympic Committee, and signed by 17 anti-doping agencies also indicated that the IOC is obliged to stop to slow down the introduction of sanctions against Russia after a doping scandal on the results of the winter Olympic games in Sochi 2014.
The letter also said that the desire of the IOC to protect Russia from responsibility is in fact criminal, because the Olympic games in Sochi became «one of the biggest scandals in the history of sports». The agencies believe that it is impossible to trust the sports system of the country, which deliberately broke the rules, and «robbed» the clean athletes.
The letter said that the inability of operational investigation of the use of doping by athletes from Russia is a «threat» to «clean» athletes from other countries at the upcoming Olympics. The Agency also urged Russia to take their own responsibility for violating doping regulations, and voluntarily submitted to the Institute of national anti-doping agencies available information, documents, and electronic media, which is evidence in the case to help still not over the investigation. Thus Russia will be able to prove their seriousness in the fight against doping.
