Here is the only postal worker – Shannon Mitchell. The branch serves nearly 900 residents in counties Monroe, Miami-Dade and Collier and Miccosukee Indian reservation.

Shannon herself actually lost his home in hurricane and moved to live with neighbors, but last Friday it reopened a post office, which somehow remained unharmed during the violence of Irma.

«There is only temporarily disconnected the electricity and everything,» said Mitchell edition of the Naples Daily News.

Previously, the tiny building was used as storage of irrigation pipes for the adjacent tomato farm. But in the middle of the last century it was converted after the shop in Ochopee, where the mail was burned during the fire.

Now many tourists are sent here to send a card from the smallest post offices in the country.

Suddenly you happen to go there, the office operates from 8 to 16 hours on weekdays and 8 a.m.-12 noon on Saturdays. Sunday – day off.
