Protests in St. Louis reached its climax: the 11 police officers were injured and dozens of protesters arrested

The third day in the American St. Louis held protests against the acquittal of a former police officer who killed a black suspect during a chase. The violence reached its climax on Saturday night. The protesters entered into an open confrontation with the police started to throw officers a variety of items, smashing Windows of homes and offices.

On the second day of the riots in St. Louis were recorded at least 9 arrests (33 people arrested after the first wave of protests), 11 police officers injured.

British singer ed Sheran and rock band U2 has cancelled concerts planned in the city this weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, demonstrators held protests in several shopping malls, including West County Center, chanting «Black Lives Matter» and «Murder is illegal».

In the evening a small group gathered in the area Delmar Loop, known for its concert venues, restaurants, shops and bars. Police urged the demonstrators to disperse, but they not only did not fulfill the requirement, but also began to traditi all around, breaking dozens of shop Windows and Windows, throwing debris to the police.

On Saturday the Governor of Missouri, Eric Greitens said that the police are obliged to protect peaceful demonstrators, but «violence and vandalism are not a protest, it is crime.»

As previously reported, the judge of the County of St. Louis , Timothy Wilson, taking a decision of acquittal of a former police officer Jason Stockley, said that the latter was acting in self-defence and there is no evidence that the murder was premeditated.

Sam Stockley in an interview with St. Louis Post-Dispatch said that he understands how the video taking place can be perceived consequence and the public, but stated that he did nothing wrong and in this case, the videos should be separated from facts.
