Part of long island was flooded due to hurricane Jose (photos)

Weakened to the 1st category of hurricane Jose still managed to cause inconvenience to the residents of long island.

In Lindenhurst because of the strong precipitation caused by Jose, were flooded some streets, restaurants and homes. A similar situation was observed in Sayville. The wind tore the wires and knocked down a few trees, but, fortunately, has done without victims.

Warnings about the dangers of floods are until tonight, September 20, around the coast of Nassau County and Suffolk County with the exception of the Western regions.

Separate flooding can also be found in parts of Brooklyn, Staten island and Northern new Jersey. In the South, long island – big waves and dangerous rip currents.

As reported by ABC7, the Governor of the state of new York Andrew Cuomo said that despite the weakening of Jose in «combat readiness» there are 100 members of the National guard and trucks with sandbags, prepared more than 31 thousand food sets, search-and-rescue vessels.

On the question of why such a serious cooking due to a small flood, the Governor replied that «it is better to be ready for anything.»
