California changes rules for the implementation of medical marijuana

Two decades had passed since the legalization of medical marijuana, and only a few months before the opening of the retail outlets of this product, the state of California has published detailed rules for the medical cannabis industry.

These guidelines are necessary for the transparent and safe implementation of marijuana. On the one hand, companies in the medical sector will face tighter requirements on the other – new market legal drugs promises high returns.

If these rules come into force, all medical cannabis must be tested in laboratories and to be closely monitored from the moment of planting seeds to delivery of finished products. Medical dispensaries offering marijuana, will face additional limitations. So, they will have the right to offer cannabis only in the period from 6 to 9 PM. While the patients themselves are allowed to purchase no more than 8 ounces of marijuana per day.

Overall, the costs associated with the rules for trafficking in cannabis will lead to additional cost of 125 thousand dollars per year for small clinics and 310 thousand dollars – for a solid medical center. This will cause an inevitable increase in the cost of services for patients, but later fierce competition in the market gradually reduce the average check treatment marijuana.
