On Wednesday, President Donald trump and the first lady visited a medical center in Las Vegas, where they posed for pictures and talked with the wounded during the mass shooting. One of the patients insisted to greet the President and his wife standing, despite a foot injury.
28-year-old Thomas Gunderson – one of the 515 people injured during the bloody shooting in U.S. history. As reported by Fox News, during the events in Las Vegas he helped the organizers of the festival to evacuate people to a safe place. In the midst of shooting a man was shot in the leg. According to Gunderson, he considers himself lucky because the bullet passed through. The doctors said that he had a torn muscle in the calf, but has not been affected by bone and artery.
Gunderson was in the hospital, where I went to Donald and Melania trump. During their visit, the man rose from his sick bed to welcome the first officials of the United States. Gunderson asked family members to videotape the private meeting. Then he posted the entry in Facebook.
«I’m not going to lie, when the President of this great country comes to shake my hand! In this state there can be any number of problems, but I will always respect my country, my President and my flag», signed post fan of trump.
The video quickly went viral: it was viewed over 21 million people.
The next day after the meeting, Gunderson wrote a post about the fact that he does not consider himself a hero, and thanked everyone for their love and support. «I don’t want fame and I don’t want to be called a hero. These words are the hardest to hear. I was in the right place at the right time. I was lucky enough not to get hit by a bullet almost to the end of the shooting, and even then it went through my foot», — was written in his post.

Previously, trump said that the meeting with the doctors in Las Vegas and those who survived made him «proud American». «Doctors, nurses — all the people in the hospital did the work, which is indescribable,» he said. He assured that during his visit invited a lot of people visit the White house.
