The patient and cure his doctor together will take part in new York marathon

After the rupture of the Achilles tendon in March, Michael Bozzo did not expect to participate in new York marathon. However, the meeting with Dr. Kevin Jiang, a surgeon-orthopedist, made him once again believe in themselves. The doctor put Bozzo to his feet and gave a chance to take part in Sunday’s marathon of 26.2 miles.

As an added bonus Jiang intends to accompany Bozzo almost the entire marathon. «He is an active person and really wanted to get back in shape, and this is important in accelerated rehabilitation,» said the doctor.

Basso got injured playing tennis. According to the man, the leg immediately went numb, and the court he left in a wheelchair. Jiang offered the patient a reliable recovery plan until November 5. «He helped me feel confident, like I just pierced it [the leg],» said Bozzo. Two weeks after the injury the surgery was performed.

Bozzo and Jiang have already participated in an 18 mile run in the Park flushing meadows-Corona. They both started running at a distance about six years ago, and we are confident that this lifestyle has helped not only their medical, but also friendly relations.
