66-year-old Jim Mcingvale, also known by the nickname «Mattress Mack» – the owner of a furniture network in Texas, businessman and philanthropist. A few months ago he learned the whole country: it has turned one of its stores in temporary shelter for victims of hurricane Harvey.
This time the man decided to make another charitable gesture to give dinner 20 to thousands of Texanswho survived the terrible disaster and cope with its consequences.
«Every day I admire the resilience of these people, their courage and strength,» – said Mcingvale.
He named this event «lunch, where everyone is welcome»: «the Only requirement for those who want to get on with it – you must have a good appetite.»
The businessman said that some vendors have made their contribution, providing free products. And dozens of volunteers have offered their help in organizing the event.
