In new York, expect to technically improve and upgrade 911.
As reported in Department of information technology and telecommunications (DoITT) already at the beginning of 2018 , the city will implement a system of «write 911» — you can send text messages.
In addition, DoITT is looking for developers who will create custom system called NextGeneration 911. So, in rescue service it will be possible to send photos and videos with places emergency. The system will also verify the location of the person.
«All this will improve the 911, and we plan to continue to develop and update,» — said the representative of the Department Ann Growth.
Fully updated NextGeneration 911 will begin in new York in 2022.
