Mission 7-year-old girl: hug police officers in 50 States

Seven years before Rosalyn Baldwin has an unusual goal: to travel all 50 States and in each of them to hug as many police officers. This solution occurred to young women in Louisiana spontaneously, but nevertheless, it is responsibly to accomplish the task, and from January 2017 has already managed to get around the 16 States.

Its sixteenth stop was the city of Chicago in the state of Illinois, where Rosalyn came along with his mother on Monday, June 12. The girl met with the staff of horse, sea and Cycling of the Chicago police and the President of the Fraternal order of police Kevin Graham.

It happened in the Park, Maggie Daley, where around Rosalyn, a crowd of bystanders and reporters. Police response was wholly positive.

«»It makes me proud to work,» said Chicago police officer Michael Carroll about the mission of the 7-year Rosalyn Baldwin».

Mother Rosalyn, Angie Baldwin, said her daughter began to cuddle with the police since, as I learned to walk. But a special impression on the girl made the news about last year’s armed attack on law enforcement officers in the city of Baton Rouge.

That day, July 17, 2016, in a shooting killed three employees of law enforcement agencies, and another three were wounded.

After that, Rosalyn explained to his mother that “it’s all about love”, and added: “We need to love our officers.”

The mother supported the idea of his daughter and despite the fact that the journey will be long, Angie thinks it’s worth it. At first she suggested just to send postcards with words of gratitude, but soon rosaleen was able to convince her of the importance of their mission.

“God told me to go on this little adventure and hug police officers for all that they did for us. Indeed, sometimes they even risk their lives,” said Rosalyn.

At that time, as a girl travels with her mother, her father, pastor, and brothers and sisters, three of whom stayed home in Hammond.

According to the plans Angie, the journey will last about two years. It occurs not continuously, but only during the holidays and when Rosalyn’t have school.

Crowdfunding on the online platform GoFundMe.com parents are Rosalyn asked all who are interested in the project RosalynLoves to support them. For five months managed to collect $7,670 from 125 people.
