The police Department of new York (NYPD) broke a contract with a supplier of body armor Body Armor Outlet from new Hampshire, after he learned that the old armor fall into the hands of criminals.
During arrests police in new York a few times found at the detainees… his old armor, which after a certain period of time gave the company to the supplier for disposal.
As reported by the Daily News in the NYPD, the contract was for 20 thousand dollars. Under the terms of the company’s Body Armor Outlet was to dispose of the used vests or send them for recycling. Instead, some vests company was simply sold on eBay, and exploited.
Information on this case investigators to the Prosecutor’s office of Manhattan, but they refused to initiate criminal proceedings. According to the Prosecutor, the contract was not specific language about what will be done with the old vests.
The President of the company, Body Armor, declined to comment.
