Californians will no longer be deprived of rights for unpaid fines

The government decided to abolish the old method of punishment came to the conclusion that it’s absolutely impractical. According to brown, the deprivation of rights is not conducive to the collection of fines, and sometimes even leads to the opposite result, losing the ability to drive, some drivers remain unemployed. Consequently, their financial position deteriorates and they no longer pay slips.

The innovation initiator, Bob Herzberg stated that his proposed rule — the first step to changing the laws that punish people for poverty.

Supporters of the new policy agreed with the arguments of Herzberg and brown, and its opponents believe that the suspension of the license was an effective tool for the collection of fines. Anyway, the decision has been made and will come into force within days.

Recall that last month Senator Robert Hertzberg put forward another bill designed to make life easier for California drivers. He proposed to introduce incentives and installments for the payment of fines for low-income offenders.
