New York hospital is ready to treat a terminally ill baby from Britain

In one of the hospitals of new York expressed willingness to accept a terminally ill British baby Charlie Garda, if he has time to get there. In New York Presbyterian and Columbia University Medical Center Irving on Thursday extended a helping hand to 11-month-old boy who suffers from a rare genetic disorder due to which he cannot eat, breathe and even to move their limbs.

His parents are desperately trying to move Charlie from the UK to the US for experimental treatment, but British and European courts denied them this, when doctors said that the baby has no chance to survive.

Hospital in new York city «agreed to accept and assess the status of Charlie, to provide arrangements for safe transfer him to the hospital instrument, to eliminate legal troubles and get approval from the FDA for an experimental treatment.»

Also, the hospital agreed to transport by sea an experimental drug in the UK if it is approved in the FDA.

Charlie has received worldwide support. Last week Pope Francis and President Donald trump expressed his support for a sick baby, and Charlie’s family has received through donations of approximately $ 1.7 million to transport it across the Atlantic ocean.
