In California rapidly ignite wildfires, threatening hundreds of homes and thousands of residents.
«The fire, which started yesterday, July 8, a day in Santa Barbara County, spread along both sides of highway 154 and «completely out of control,» said fire district, captain Dave Zaniboni.
About 90 children and 50 adults from summer camp took refuge at the ranch of Circle V and had to stay there until they could safely evacuate.
Another forest fire raging East of Santa Maria, was forced to evacuate residents of about 200 homes in rural areas.
In Northern California, a wildfire in Butte County destroyed more than a dozen buildings, including a house and several cars-pickups.
10 miles South of Oroville on Saturday, local authorities sent warnings to evacuate for the residents of 500 homes.
Rescuers evacuated the tourists with lake Cachuma, which is a popular camping and national forest Los Padres.
Forest fires start because of the extreme heat, which yesterday broke the record (96°). So, in Los Angeles the last time such heat was recorded 131 a year ago.
About the victims of the forest fires is not reported.
