A heartless con man uses the death of a stranger to his child, to deceive people and to persuade them to purchase fictitious lottery tickets. The offender assures the victims that the money spent will go to the development of cancer in children.
The mother of 4-year-old Nolan Scully, who died from a rare form of brain cancer, resent the fact that someone is using her grief to steal the money.
«How low and vile need to be human to use the photos of the last days of a dying child and sell fictitious lottery tickets for $ 25 here and there,» the woman said. «If I could show these people the hell we face, they’d think twice before you do this.»
In the police report that the photos used by the scammer in his pseudo-lottery was taken from a page in Facebook under the name of Nolan Strong. The outcome of the lottery was to be ostensibly a raffle — 70-inch TV, iPad and gift certificates in the amount of $ 200.
