British actor Roger Moore, who won international fame playing secret agent 007 James bond, died Tuesday at the age of 89 years. About it on the official website of the actor on Twitter said his family.
«With a heavy heart we must announce our loving father, sir Roger Moore, died today in Switzerland after a short but courageous battle with cancer,» wrote three of his children in the Twitter.

The son of a London policeman, Moore became the third James bond, playing in such films about the agent 007, as «Live and let die» (1973), «the man with the Golden gun» (1974), «the Spy who loved me» (1977), «Moonraker» (1979), «for your eyes Only» (1981), «Octopussy» (1983) and «a View to a kill» (1985).
The actor drew the attention of the writers and Directors after his role of «Saint» in the eponymous British TV series 1962.
In the 70s Roger Moore moved to the United States in an attempt to avoid tax problems.
In 1991, the year Moore became a goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF. He is also actively involved in charity work.
The actor will be buried in Monaco, the ceremony will be attended only by those closest to him people.
