Starting in August 2017, the Department of road safety and motor vehicles Florida will begin to issue driver’s licenses and ID cards of the new sample.
As noted in the Department, compared with the old documents, the new cards will have a higher degree of fraud protection that will be their main advantage.
Now on the front side of the card there is a linear print of a pastel painting of the state seal of Florida and a large orange symbol «FL». On the reverse side of the document will depict ocean waves with figures 1845 — a reference to the year when Florida became the 27th state in the Union. Also in four places on the map will have portrait images of drivers ‘ faces with a transparent background.

New rights will be issued with different colors of their title, which indicate the type of license. For example, the inscription in red will mean that this ID card, and the inscription green — what is a driver’s license.
By the end of December 2017 new cards will be available in all service centers in the state and on the Internet, noted in the Department of road safety and motor vehicles Florida. Driver’s licenses and ID cards of the old sample will remain valid and will be used along with new documents, as long as the first will not be replaced and subsequently cancelled.
