Once expelled from American schools for a diploma at the age of 98

The yard was fall of 1937. Iris Marie miles Waterways of Michigan began the last year of school studies — she previously made photos for the Yearbook and making plans for the future. But her dreams were dashed in a moment — knowing that iris was married and expecting a child, the school administration expelled her.

At the ceremony of graduation, a girl was assigned the role of an observer. Never having finished school, failed to graduate dedicated his life to his family. When her husband Lloyd was called to the front, a young mother was nursing the newborn James (last June, he was 80 years old). The faithful spouse waited for her lover, and the couple gave birth to three more children Lloyd Jr., Kay and Jerry.

Iris was happily married and never once regretted that at the time made a choice in favour of early motherhood. However, the thought of leaving certificate has never left the woman.

Knowing this, the niece iris Floor Klerambo decided to help — she contacted the school district and asked if her aunt to document. Hey could not refuse.

And now, 80 years later, the dream has come true iris — Wednesday she received a long-awaited paper with her current head of the school district Davison Community
Schools Eric Liske gave her traditional attributes of graduates: a square academic cap and gown.

In this solemn moment, 98-year-old graduate was wiping tears of happiness.

Iris’s story is a Prime example of that cherished dream come true — it’s better late than never.
