Traveling in USA: the Museum of salt and pepper shakers in Tennessee

It is the only US Museum salt and pepper shaker is located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. In appearance it is rather inconspicuous, so it is easy to miss driving by. But believe me, you need to find and visit this Museum and here’s why…

The Museum has over 20,000 salt and pepper shaker, each of which is part of the General history of mankind. The oldest exhibits date back to the 15th century. There are instances devoted to pop culture, religion, Royal families, famous people and characters. There are salt shakers in the shape of cars, fruit and vegetables, animals, kitchen utensils, even light bulbs and astronauts. These items are in every home and used for many centuries, therefore, can tell a lot about the life of people over a long period of time.
