In the Caribbean there can be storms at the end of October

The Atlantic hurricane season coming to an end and have already gone through their peak, which is believed, falls on September 10. Despite this, in the waters of the Atlantic, there is a probability of formation of tropical cyclones. According to the forecasts of meteorologists, by the end of this month in the Western Caribbean may develop a few storms.

In most parts of the Atlantic ocean in the coming days all conditions – dry air, dust, and strong westerly and/or southerly winds will prevent the formation of a tropical storm.

However, in the South-West Atlantic basin or in the Western Caribbean sea occur all the essential factors for the formation of a tropical depression or storm. This can happen in the last weekend of October.

«At the end of the week tropical excitement, currently located over the South-Central part of the Atlantic, reaches Caribbean», – said AccuWeather senior meteorologist Dan Pydynowski.

Forecasters advise residents of Central America, the Mexican Peninsula Yucatan, Cuba, Florida, the Bahamas, Haiti and Puerto Rico to monitor the weather changes, because in the next few days the winds and waves can increase their strength. Besides, according to forecasts, there is a likelihood of gusty thunderstorms.

If a tropical storm or hurricane will bypass these areas, they will not be able to avoid the heavy rains which, in turn, will trigger floods and landslides.

We will remind, this year the next tropical storm will be named Philip. This is done in order to avoid confusion, because during the season there is a high probability of formation of several storms or hurricanes at the same time.
