In Mississippi and Alabama – a powerful tornado damaged buildings (video)

Several buildings were damaged after a large tornado hit the North-Eastern part of the Mississippi on Tuesday evening, March 24.

Around 17:30 PM in Tishomingo, near the border with Alabama, was destroyed the Dollar General store.

According to the police chief Tishomingo Mike Kemp, several people were injured, but their lives are not in danger. It was also damaged several buildings and knocked down trees.

It is also reported severe structural damage to roads County Roads 106 and 123 South of Highway 30

The national weather service in Memphis has confirmed that a tornado was formed after 17 o’clock in the evening of March 24.

Severe storms were also held in some areas of Tennessee and Alabama.

Tuesday night in DECATUR and Huntsville (Alabama) the storm was raging, which led to power outages, at least 16 thousand customers.

A tornado also was reported in Sewani (Tennessee), but there’s no word yet on damage or injuries were reported.
